ootn: Outdoor Concert

Everyone raves about New York City’s Central Park. But I prefer Brooklyn’s Prospect. I’ve been in the city 2.5 weeks and I’ve already seen, er heard,  Janelle Monáe and The National in the park’s Celebrate Brooklyn venue. I went urban-grunge in this outfit of the night. High waisted skinnies and the black tank are basic, but suitcase staples, while a heathered grey beanie, deconstructed black backpack and DKNY flatforms straight from the 90s turn this ootn concert worthy. It’s ideal for sitting on a hill where everything smells like weed, surrounded by people sipping from brown paper bags while children play frisbee with glow-in-the-dark jewelry. Listening to Matt Berninger’s voice from here was almost as good as seeing him, almost.

flatforms: thrifted
high-waisted skinnies: Asos
tank: thrifted
backpack: thrifted
beanie: found on the streets of Iowa (No, that’s not a Kesha reference).

Love and too-dark photos,
